Microsoft plans to get rid of Nokia and Windows Phones
- The company Microsoft wants to no longer create the Nokia and Window Phone brand
- The news about this came from a leaked posting by a tech blog called GeeksOnGadgets
- This isn't a shock because in April 2014, Stephen Elop (former CEO of Nokia) stated, "Doesn't see the Nokia name sticking around for long at Microsoft."
- This is kind of a quick decision to me because Microsoft just bought Nokia for $7.2 billion in April 2014 as well
- However, they will still plan to use Nokia to help promote Microsoft's Windows Phone mobile operating system
